About Kim

Artist/Mom/Vet Wife when I'm not paddle boarding or hanging with my Beaches. Growing up in Rhode Island, with Navy retirement roots in Hawaii, I've been surrounded by ocean beauty and it's incredible animals my whole life and how it makes me feel whole. In my "before kids life", I used to spend lots of time diving the Hawaiian shorelines, a BS in Graphic Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa 2003 immediately followed by teaching Graphic Design at Kailua High School.  I learned I love sharing what I love, Art! All my Art was put on hold while I embraced motherhood and survived deployments with an infant, toddler and two geriatric dogs and lots of moving w the Navy for my husbands career! So Blessed for great friends and family to get me through those times. Now we have put down roots in Hawaii with kids in 2010. I'd been working with Mai Tais and Monet since 2013 as a Partner and Regional Manager (www.maitaisandmonet.com lots of art videos from 2020-2021). I loved volunteering Art Lessons in my kids classes and painting with the military families at Fisher House, Tripler Army Hospital. Now, I'm finally focusing on my own art! 2020 has provided me with time to get back to “Me” and my ideas and visions to you... Canvas, Digital, Watercolor, mixed media and a children's picture book. Phew! I was busy! I hope my work brings you joy and an appreciation for my art.

I'm drawn to graceful things, colorful things, whimsy, curious of all media.... When I work on a piece, it's an extension of me, like writing a song and then signing it but visual then physical.  Ideas to creations are so much a part of my daily life. Some people create art to live and I live to create art. If I don't do something creative weekly I'm out of sorts. The need to create and get my idea, emotions and visions out is a necessity.
